Welcome to the Formula 4 Leadership Models page. Our approach places the relationship between the leader and the follower at the core of success. Effective relationships are built upon the behaviour of the leader, specifically his or her approach to engaging with the team when facing decisions.
Each of the styles of leadership described in the following models has its strengths and weaknesses; none is universally applicable. The Principles and Tenets give a predictive guide for the selection of the appropriate style for any particular challenge.
There are two distinct, but related ways to show the Formula 4 Leadership Model. Decision Making Model shows the model as a spectrum demonstrating the basis for leadership decision-making, Leader Orientation Model shows the model from the perspective of the leader’s behaviour.
